No order-status page for agents to find
- POST_PURCHASE_NO_ORDER_STATUS
- Return an order

What it means
tragent reports this at the “Return an order” stage. The question there is “Can it start a return?” Returns handled by a person are returns an agent cannot make on a customer's behalf.
What it does to an agent
Agents can usually carry on, but more slowly or less sure of what they found, and an unsure agent is likelier to recommend another store.
"Where is my order?" is the commonest question after a purchase, and shoppers now ask their assistant. The agent needs a page to look at: an order-status or tracking page linked from the store. If it cannot find one, it tells the shopper to contact you, which becomes a support ticket.
tragent looks for links to an account or order page, a tracking app's lookup page, or a page named for order status or tracking. This is advisory and filed under Return an order, the after-purchase stage; it does not move the readiness score.
How to fix it
Link an order-status or tracking page from the footer.
On your platform
Shopify
Link the customer account from the footer, where orders and their status live, and label it for what shoppers look for.
<a href="{{ routes.account_url }}">Order status and tracking</a>WooCommerce
Link My account › Orders from the footer. For guests, WooCommerce's order tracking shortcode gives a lookup page by order number and email: create a page with [woocommerce_order_tracking] and link it.
<a href="<?php echo esc_url( wc_get_account_endpoint_url( 'orders' ) ); ?>">Track your order</a>
Any site
A tracking app's lookup page works as well, as long as it is linked from the store and loads without signing in.
In practice
Make the page work for guests. Many orders are placed without an account, and an agent acting for that shopper has an order number and an email, not a password. A lookup by order number and email, or the tracking link from the shipping confirmation, answers the question without a sign-in the agent should never be given.
Use plain words in the link: "Track your order" or "Order status" rather than "My account" alone. Agents look for the words the shopper used, and so do people. If you use a tracking app, link its lookup page from the store itself, not only from emails, so it can be found from the page the agent starts on.
Order status is also where agents can do the most for you after the sale. A store that exposes order lookup through an MCP server or the UCP order capability lets an agent answer "where is my order" without a page at all, and tragent reports the absence of such a tool as a separate, lower-severity finding. The linked page comes first; a machine interface is the next step.
Check the fix
- Check the footer of the home page links an order-status or tracking page.
- Run the scan; the finding under Return an order should be gone.
Run the check that reported POST_PURCHASE_NO_ORDER_STATUS again after the change. The scan needs no account; an issue found during an AI shopping test needs that test run again.
npx @tragent/cli scan https://your-store.comCommon mistakes
- Linking only from the order confirmation email.
- A tracking page that needs JavaScript to show its form.
