Connecting WooCommerce

Set up a WooCommerce store: product pages, basket, checkout and feed.

  1. Add your store

In tragent, open Store setup and add your store's address. Use a staging site if you have one: it is the only place tragent will complete a checkout, so a test can never touch a real customer's order.

  2. Choose WooCommerce as the platform

There is no WooCommerce connection to install. Choosing the platform tells tragent where WooCommerce keeps things and which WooCommerce endpoints to check.

  3. Check your product pages

WooCommerce product pages live at /product/<slug>/, which tragent finds on its own from links on your home page. If your permalinks use another base, add one or two product URLs in Store setup.

  4. Tell tragent where the basket and checkout are

WooCommerce uses /cart/ and /checkout/ unless you changed them under WooCommerce › Settings › Advanced. Enter whichever your store uses.

  5. Add your product feed

If a plugin publishes a Google Merchant Center feed for you, paste its URL. tragent compares the feed with your pages, because an agent often reads one and buys from the other.

  6. Pick two products for the shopping tests

Give tragent the id of one product that is in stock and one that is sold out. The basket and checkout tests use the first; the stock test uses both. Leave them out and those tests are skipped with a reason, not failed.

  7. Run a quick store check

A quick store check takes about a minute and needs no AI model. Store setup then shows what tragent found and, for anything blank, why.

Agent tools on WordPress

If you run the WordPress MCP adapter or WooCommerce's MCP server, tragent checks /wp-json/mcp/mcp-adapter-default-server and /wp-json/woocommerce/mcp. Bot protection from a security plugin or your host often blocks agents before WooCommerce sees them, and the bot-blocking checks report that separately.
