Your direct-tools connection never completes

It concerns MCP, the direct tool access. The Model Context Protocol. It lets an assistant call your store's own functions directly instead of driving your website.

Most agents fail at this point. The few that find a way round it spend more time and model calls doing so, and may give up before checkout.

Accept an initialize call carrying protocolVersion, capabilities and clientInfo, and answer with a result carrying protocolVersion and serverInfo. Everything an agent does over MCP starts here.
