What it means

It concerns ACP, the chatgpt checkout. The Agentic Commerce Protocol, from OpenAI and Stripe. It is how ChatGPT completes a purchase on your store.

What it does to an agent

Most agents fail at this point. The few that find a way round it spend more time and model calls doing so, and may give up before checkout.

How to fix it

Serve an RSS or Atom product feed at the configured URL. ACP builds on the Merchant Center shape, so a feed that works there works here. Without one, ChatGPT has no catalogue to index.

Check the fix

Run the check that reported ACP_FEED_INVALID again after the change. The scan needs no account; an issue found during an AI shopping test needs that test run again.
